Fabio Capello has declared Sunderland hot shot Darren Bent is "one of the important players" for England's future.
Bent, 26, missed the cut for World Cup 2010 after being named in the 30-man provisional squad. Such a snub may be a thing of the past after the centre forward sealed the 3-1 Euro 2012 qualifying victory against Switzerland and grabbed five Premier League goals in the early weeks of the season.
Speaking to the Football Association's official website, the Italian supremo revealed he would be counting on the player in the future.
"Bent is back," Capello stated.
"In front of goal, he is really dangerous.
"He played 20 minutes against Switzerland and scored an important goal. Now he is training really well.
"He is probably one of the important players for the future."
