Having been with AC Milan since 1999, Gennaro Gattuso has recently threatened to quit the club due to a lack of playing time under Leonardo.
His unhappiness with the situation has led to Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani scheduling a meeting with the combative midfielder, and it appears that everything went well.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that there was a cordial and constructive meeting between Gattuso and Galliani on Friday night as the player looked for clarification on his future.
Both parties agreed that no action should be taken until the 31-year-old has fully recovered from his injury, and Leonardo has had further opportunities to pick him in the first team.
As a result, the chances of Gattuso leaving the club in the winter transfer window, either on loan or permanently, appear to be slim. However, another meeting has reportedly been scheduled for January to determine whether a new course of action is necessary.
Gattuso has indicated that he is willing to stay with the Rossoneri, but is equally anxious for regular football in order to secure a place in Italy's World Cup squad.
