Neil Lennon identified the slack attitude of Celtic in the early stages of the Hamilton Academical game as the reason for their early scare and is eager to quickly eradicate it from future performances.
The Hoops eventually ran out 3-1 winners but had to come from behind which clearly annoyed the Celtic boss.
Lennon told BBC Sport: “We’ve conceded from a set piece and then we’ve just gone to sleep. We’ve had to rely on our keeper to make some great saves but thankfully by the second half we had a hold of the game.
"I know though and the players know we can’t go into games slack like that.”
When asked about Hamilton’s start, Lennon praised the Accies, saying: “Well they gave us plenty to think about.
"We were slack defensively at time and ill disciplined.”
Lennon was quick to point out the lethargic attitude of his players in the early stages but was eager to praise Shaun Maloney’s performance.
“Too many players were off colour for the first 20 minutes. In the second half we changed it a little bit and Shaun Maloney’s second goal was terrific.”
