
The tournament is scheduled for Johannesburg from December 4-15 .
In preparation for the tournament, Amajita have planned a few matches, including one against Swaziland to begin their warm up.
In the second phase of the preparation Amajita will then move to neighbouring Lesotho for their final friendly match before the start of the COSAFA tournament. Amajita face Lesotho on Thursday at the Bambatha Complex.
The squad return to South Africa on the same day to continue with their final preparations at home.
Coach Maqsood Chenia told SuperSport that Amajita are ready for battle even though they are missing three players from the initial squad.
Amajita are in Swaziland without Collen Zulu of Mpumalanga Witbank Aces, Thulani Ncepe of SuperSport United and Tawfeeq Salie of Ajax Cape Town.
Zulu has been recalled from the national team to replace an injured player in his club, Ncepe has not been released by SuperSport United, while Salie stayed behind due to injury.
Chenia said there are players that will be called up to complete the selected squad before the start of the Cosafa U20 Youth Championship.
