Zamalek have dismissed much-travelled coach Henri Michel after just seven matches in charge following a 2-0 defeat to Police Union in the Egyptian Premier League at the weekend.
"Michel is no longer in charge, and the board members will convene to see who is going to succeed him," Zamalek board member, Amr Al-Ganaini, told FilGoal.com.
Sunday's loss was the fourth defeat for the Cairo giants under Frenchman Michel, and they are lying in 10th place in the league table, a massive 15 points behind leaders Al Ahly after 10 rounds of matches.
"We were facing the same problems in each match; we control the game and get a number of scoring chances but we always fail to translate our dominance into goals," Michel said after the defeat to Police Union.
Michel, who has also handled France, Cameroon and Morocco in a nomadic career, has now been shown the door in his second job this year, having also been given the boot at South African Premier League side Mamelodi Sundowns in March 2009.
