According to a report in Sport Express, Russian powerhouse Lokomotiv Moscow are closely monitoring the situation of FC Moscow midfielder Dmitriy Tarasov.
Lokomotiv only just missed out on qualification for next season's Champions League by finishing fourth in the league and they are reportedly eager to add some more depth to their squad in order to fight for the title again next year.
Head coach Yuri Semin is believed to be a great admirer of Tarasov and the attacking midfielder is reportedly Lokomotiv's main target in the transfer market.
The 22-year-old is a product of the Spartak Moscow youth academy, but never made it into the first team at Sparta. However, his impressive performances at Tom Tomsk and FC Moscow in the past three seasons have made him one of the most sought-after youngsters of Russia.
Tarasov represented Russia at under-21 level several times and got a surprise call-up for the nation's senior side earlier this season. He has yet to make his official debut.
