The versatile Peruvian is a target for the Old Lady, who believe they can tempt the Florence club into selling one of their stars
Juventus are chasing the signature of Fiorentina's Juan Manuel Vargas, according to Tuttosport.
The Serie A clubs were said to be in talks last week regarding a transfer for the player but Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is thought to be unhappy with the current offer on the table from the Turin club.
Juve are willing to give the Tuscan club cash plus Jorge Martinez in exchange for Vargas, however, it is understood that Mihajlovic wants a like-for-like replacement if he must part with the 27-year-old.
Antonio Conte's side have been active in their search for a left-footed player, and have also been linked with Lyon's Michel Bastos.
Vargas is currently on international duty with Peru for their Copa America campaign, playing a starring role in his nation's run to the semi-final, and will now contest the 3rd place play-off against Venezuela after Peru were eliminated by Uruguay on Tuesday evening.
His performances in the tournament have garnered much attention among other European clubs, but Vargas stated recently that he was uninterested in moving away from Fiorentina.
