Real Madrid stopper Sergio Ramos has claimed that the team is slowly but surely finding their rhythm and that they are refining their game every week, following their convincing 6-1 triumph over Deportivo at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spanish international had a straightforward evening as the attacking players all managed to find the net in an excellent display from Jose Mourinho’s side, whose unbeaten run so far this season extended to eight matches in all competitions.
Speaking at a press conference afterwards, the full-back noted that he can see subtle improvements in their play as the weeks progress, saying: “The attackers have ended their losing streak in front of goal, and finally the chances have ended up in the net. That makes the result huge and we must go home happy. This is the path that we must follow.
“We have kept the ball well, and little by little we are refining for the better. Today the public affection has been notable at the joy of seeing the team.”
Ramos also reflected on Barcelona’s surprising 1-1 draw at home to Mallorca, believing that the result shows the strengths of the league.
“It’s good for the league and for football fans, there is much less difference than there was last year. Any team can beat anyone else, as shown by Hercules and Mallorca, who have taken a point today.”
