Deportivo La Coruna coach Miguel Angel Lotina stated his side have no intention to sit back and let Real Madrid have all the fun, as they will play for all three points at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.
“Real Madrid are a great side with terrific players,” Lotina told AS. “Their squad is so good and they have done really well. They are a team that create plenty of openings and is packed with great champions.
“We are aware that this match will not end in a goalless draw. It will be impossible to keep a clean sheet because Madrid always scores at least once per match. If we go out thinking about a draw we will almost certainly lose.
“We have to play looking to score at least one goal. Otherwise, we will be playing a hopeless game knowing that we are going to lose it.”
Lotina also explained that he has been preparing his men for this match.
“My players have clear ideas of what to expect. We will try to make our strategies work tomorrow,” concluded the Depor coach.
