Ajax Cape Town Registering Guinea Teenager Seydouba Soumah

Soumah is now into his fourth year at Ajax after being spotted and recruited to the Mother City club as a 15 year-old kid from the streets of the West African country.

Ajax CEO George Comitis disclosed this KickOff.com.

"We are trying to register him and the only hurdle that we are facing at the moment is with regards to his work permit. We are struggling to get that done, along with the paperwork of new signing Willard Katsande.

"Once we get Soumah’s work permit, then we will be able to register him with the PSL and then he becomes available for selection.

"He is a good player who is capable of changing the game. We are also targeting having him nationalised next year as he will have spent five years in the country," said Comitis of the youngster who turns 19 this month.

With the registration of Soumah, Ajax will have exhausted their foreign quota – the other four foreign players on their books being French defender Derek Decamps and the Zimbabwean trio of Katsande, Tafadzwa Rusike and Khama Billiat.
