Pepe Reina Is 'One Of The Best Goalkeepers In The World' - Liverpool Manager Rafael Benitez

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has hailed Pepe Reina as "one of the best goalkeepers in the world" after a magical moment from the No.25 helped the Reds keep a clean sheet in the Merseyside derby.

The shot-stopper made two saves in quick succession, as he dived low to his left to stop a header from Tim Cahill, and then got back on his feet to deny a follow-up effort from Marouane Fellaini.

Following the 2-0 result at Goodison Park, both Benitez and his Everton counterpart David Moyes conceded that the save from the Spaniard was the turning point in the game.

"When we signed him we knew he was a good 'keeper and he is improving here," the former Valencia boss is quoted by the Press Association as saying.

"Xavi Valero, our goalkeeping coach, is doing a really good job with him and you can see him improving every day.

"For me he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and [against Everton] he showed why.

"It was a great save. In this situation he was amazing."
