Valencia Coach Unai Emery Reveals Desire To Win The Europa League

Valencia boss Unai Emery has declared that he wants to win the Europa League with Los Che this season.

Currently undefeated in Europe they lie second in Group B, a point behind leaders Lille who visit the Mestalla on Wednesday and Emery insists his team are targetting silverware both in Europe and domestically.

"First we must think about the match this Wednesday, against Lille, because depending on what we do against Lille, the match against Genoa will be one or the other. We need four points to be in the next stage and we can get three at home," he insisted in an interview with Super Deporte.

"We want to win the Europa League and we want to win the Copa [del Rey]. It's a while since Valencia won titles and we should be fighting to the end for both competitions. The desire is something we cannot limit."

He says he expects a big crowd against Lille on Wednesday night as the home support are a driving force for his side.

"It's an important game and we need the support of the crowd, like a league game, because when the crowd at the Mestalla pushes the team feels it," he said.
