Young defender Bart Schenkeveld is set to make his official league debut for Eredivisie giants Feyenoord in the upcoming league clash against ADO Den Haag on Sunday.
Head coach Mario Been will be without the services of right-back Dani Fernandez due to a knee injury, while left-back Giovanni van Bronckhorst is unavailable due to suspension.
Therefore, Been will probably give Schenkeveld the nod at right-back, while Kelvin Leerdam will start the match as left-back.
"Bart has been quite impressive on the training pitch lately. I know that playing a match is completely different, but I am full of confidence that he will do a great job against ADO," Been said on the official Feyenoord website.
Meanwhile, midfielder Karim el Ahmadi has been ruled out of Sunday's clash. The Moroccan midfielder is being plagued by hamstring worries and will be out of action for a number of days.
