Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of Atletico Madrid’s meeting with Sevilla, Marca reports.
Doubts had been raised over the fitness of ‘El Kun’ on Thursday, when Colchoneros coach Quique Sanchez Flores confessed that he was not certain whether he would be able to name the Argentine international in his squad for the fixture at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday afternoon.
It has now been reported that the sprightly forward will not be involved in the clash against los Nervionenses, though it is a fresh injury issue caused by his efforts to overcome his initial gluteus problem that has prompted his withdrawal from the squad.
‘El Kun’ had already been excused international duty with the Celeste next week, simply a decision designed to allow the 22-year-old additional time to recover from him complaints.
The ex-Independiente strike will instead focus on returning for the forthcoming clash against Getafe in La Primera Division.
