Milan will regret not signing Josip Ilicic during the summer transfer window - leaving Palermo to enjoy the grist of the mill, claims agent Armin Ruznic.
The Slovenian midfielder has enjoyed a perfect start to life in Serie A following his summer move from Maribor.
And Palermo's gain is seen as Milan's loss. The Rossoneri became distracted with the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho, leaving the Sicilians to pounce.
"Cesena, Napoli and Fiorentina all wanted him on the last day of the transfer window, but it was Milan who lost the biggest chance," the agent told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The Rossoneri showed a great interest for Josip and we spoke with Massimiliano Allegri, but in the end nothing happened."
However, a new source of hope has been restored.
"It's best for Palermo. But I think Milan will be back in for him in two years," concluded the agent.
