Current Wales caretaker manager Brian Flynn has revealed that if Robbie Savage wanted to return to the international set-up then the door is open for him.
The Derby County midfielder famously retired from international football after a bust-up with then Wales manager John Toshack. He last played for his country in 2004.
While Savage has not yet been asked to represent Wales and been overlooked for the upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers, Flynn has said he could call up the 35-year-old in the future.
Flynn told the Daily Mail: "He [Savage] offered his services. I have since spoken to Robbie and explained the situation to him.
"After these two games, who knows? My door is open and my phone is on 24 hours."
Next up for Wales is a home game against Bulgaria on Friday 8 October before they travel to Switzerland on Tuesday 12 October.
