Bayern Munich are the latest club to show an interest in Wigan Athletic forward Charles N'Zogbia, reports The Daily Mail.
N'Zogbia was widely expected to move to Birmingham City in the summer, but the deal fell through after they failed to agree personal terms.
Bayern, however, would be able match the £9 million asking price as well as the reported £50,000 a week N'Zogbia is demanding in wages.
The Frenchman is apparently still keen to leave the DW Stadium, and would be expected to jump at the chance to join the German champions.
In an article in L'Equipe this week, N'Zogbia was reported as saying: “Playing in England is the top but when the winter transfer window opens I will talk with my officials.”
N'Zogbia joined Wigan from Newcastle United in January 2009 and has shown flashes of brilliance in his time with at the club, most notably an incredible last-minute winner against Arsenal last season.
He has described Wigan as a 'springboard' however, so Latics fans must have expected stories such as these to arise.
N'Zogbia also told L'Equipe he would welcome a move to France.
"To be frank, Marseille and PSG are two clubs I appreciate. It seems there was even contact with Marseille. I have not forgotten it — the door remains open."
