Atletico Madrid Striker Diego Forlan Admits He'd Consider A Return To Premier League

Representatives of Argentine striker Sergio Aguero are set to meet with officials from Atletico Madrid to discuss terms on a new contract for the star forward, according to AS.

Los Colchoneros are reportedly keen to tie Aguero to a longer term at the Vicente Calderon, with his current contract set to expire in June 2012. It is understood that they are prepared to table an offer of a three year extension when Aguero's representatives travel from Argentina for talks next month.

The club are also believed to be happy to retain the existing buyout clause of €60 million, having already seen that figure prove sufficiently robust to ward off interest from potential suitors last summer.

Aguero is also understood to be close to finalising paperwork on an application for dual citizenship, having completed five years residing in Spain, which would enable Atleti to pursue another overseas player.
