Inter Will Not Be Leaving The Field If Juventus Fans Abuse Mario Balotelli – Jose Mourinho

Following recent suggestions from captain Javier Zanetti that Inter could potentially leave the field should Mario Balotelli come under further abuse in Turin, coach Jose Mourinho has looked to quash such thoughts ahead of next weekend’s clash.

“I will make the trip to Turin with my mind focused solely on the game,” he declared to Corriere dello Sport.

Despite the decision not to impose a one match home ban on Juventus following the recent chants during last weekend’s encounter with Udinese, the Inter coach admitted he fully expected such a stance to be taken in light of the coming fixture.

“I was fully expecting such a decision, just as with the one taken towards [Douglas] Maicon with his two game ban.

“I am upset about not having Maicon for two games, but I am happy at the decision not to ban the Olimpico because I would prefer to face the Old Lady in her own stadium.”

‘The Special One’ then gave his stance on the possibility of leaving the field early should such chants be heard again against the Bianconeri.

“I have studied the responsibilities of a coach during a match. Therefore if I call the boys in prematurely we will be handed a 3-0 defeat by default.”
