Everton manager David Moyes is calling on the club's supporters to help roar his side to victory over Liverpool this afternoon.
With both clubs in poor form, the game is beginning to look like it could be one of the most keenly-contested Merseyside derbies for years.
That makes the backing of the fans for Everton's injury-ravaged squad even more vital.
"The supporters have been great and I have great respect for them as they have been good to me and to the club," Moyes told the Toffees' official website.
"If they can help us on Sunday it'll be great because we know Liverpool supporters have helped them over the years at Anfield. It is important that Everton supporters do the same for us."
And the Blues boss feels that home advantage could give his men the edge.
"I think home advantage in any Premier League game or in any football game is an advantage," he added.
"I know that on the day our supporters can make Goodison a hostile place for the opposition to play at
"However we are up against experienced players who are used to it.
They have played some very hostile games in the past so it will not be a shock for them. In fact sometimes the atmosphere helps lift them as well."
