Klopp targets Real Madrid star Kroos

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to pounce on the uncertainty surrounding a number of Real Madrid’s star players by targeting a move for Toni Kroos, according to fichajes.net.

The Germany international is reported to be one of a number of senior players to have fallen out with coach Rafa Benitez, whose job remains a matter of intense speculation despite his side trailing La Liga leaders Barcelona by just two points.

The 25-year-old joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich for £24 million following his World Cup winning heroics in Brazil having snubbed interest from Manchester United.

Kroos has reportedly been identified by his fellow countryman Klopp as a man who can add craft and industry to a Liverpool engine room which has been lacking in both departments so far this season, particularly in light of Jordan Henderson’s injury interrupted campaign.
