Cristian Ledesma Will Not Make A Public Apology To Lazio President Claudio Lotito - Agent

It had appeared that Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma was ready to patch up his differences with president Claudio Lotito after stating his willingness to sign a new contract with the club and returning to training with the first team.

However, Lotito is still waiting for a public apology from Ledesma, one of the two remaining 'dissidenti' at the club, over his recent attitude towards the Biancocelesti.

According to Ledesma's agent, Vincenzo D'Ippolito, the situation with the club has not changed and Lotito should not expect any such apology.

"There is absolutely nothing new to record," he told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.

"There is no meeting scheduled with president Lotito. Has there been a request for a public apology? Let's say yes, but it's not something that has been taken into consideration because we don't see why we should.

"Cristian has always behaved well," he concluded.

Lazio have suffered a rapid fall from grace after picking up the Coppa Italia last season and winning the Supercoppa Italiana in August. They now sit in 15th place, only out of the relegation zone due to their goal difference.

Davide Ballardini's side will be desperate to end their 11-game winless streak when they face Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
