Cagliari's Federico Marchetti Still Angry About Milan Defeat

Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti still has some bitterness about last weekend’s 4-3 defeat against Milan at the San Siro.

However, Marchetti now wants to concentrate on this weekend’s clash against Juventus where the team can use their anger about last Sunday’s defeat to their advantage.

"Against Milan, we would have deserved to take points with us back home, but instead we left empty handed," commented the Sardinian side's shot stopper.

"We have accumulated a lot of anger. I hope that we shall use it in the right way against Juventus."

Many see the clash between Cagliari and Juventus as the match between Italy's best two goalkeepers: Marchetti and Gianluigi Buffon. The Rossoblu glovesman, however, does not agree.

"It's not a game between me and Buffon, but between our two teams," he continued.

"I have a beautiful rapport with Gigi.

"I'm impressed by his qualities between goal, but also his ability to manage the difficult situations, maintaining the necessary coolness."

Cagliari are currently in eighth place with 19 points from 13 games, eight points behind Juventus.
