Barca? Bayern? No offers for Verratti, says agent

The agent of Marco Verratti has played down speculation that the Italian could leave Paris Saint-Germain in January and says talks are progressing over a contract extension.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona are among the clubs to have been linked with the 23-year-old of late, having developed into one of the best midfielders in Europe since arriving from Pescara in Serie B.

But his agent, Donato Di Campli, says there have been no offers from other clubs and, even if there had been, Verratti is eager to remain in the French capital.

“[Verratti] has not received proposals from other clubs,” Di Campli.

“It’s true, we talk with PSG. However, there is no signature yet. We are in the right direction for an extension.
