Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf was frustrated that his side failed to take all three points against Bayer Leverkusen, drawing 2-2, having led 2-1.
"We have wasted an opportunity to decide the game in our favour. Both teams played in a very open fashion in the second half and tried to force a winner," Schaaf told Sky after the game.
The club's general manager Klaus Allofs also echoed Schaaf's sentiments but was nonetheless not too displeased with a point.
"If you lead 2-1 then you should be able to finish the job. However, in our predicament we can also be satisfied with a point. The team showed good morale as we had already witnessed against Hamburg."
The draw gives Bremen four points in what has been a mini-revival. After seven games, die Gruen-Weissen are in thirteenth spot with eight points.
