Sergio Aguero Ruled Out Of Argentina Squad To Face Japan

Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero will not travel to Japan for next Friday's Argentina friendly match after the 22-year-old was ruled out with a leg injury.

'El Kun' suffered a strong hit to his left leg two weeks ago playing for his club side against Athletic. Since then, the forward has only appeared on the pitch once, taking the field against Real Zaragoza in the last La Liga clash, and was left out for the Europa League encounter against Bayer Leverkusen as Atletico opted to give him more time to recuperate.

Following this, Ole reports that Aguero will join Javier Zanetti in missing out on the October 8 match against Japan as he continues his recovery in Spain. Sergio Batista flew out to Europe yesterday to discuss matters with Atletico officials, as well as meeting with other Spain-based squad members such as Ever Banega of Valencia and the Real Madrid contingent of Gonzalo Higuain, Fernando Gago and Angel di Maria.
