Iker Casillas paid respect to Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese mastermind has come under scrutiny for not playing the Blancos way.
"He has a special touch, a way of being different and has settled in nicely into his surroundings. Mourinho has instilled in the squad that we need to be strong defensively for some time and the rest will come," Casillas explained to Marca.
The Spanish international keeper believes that this season is no longer a battle just between Barcelona and Madrid with the emergence of other sides hitting top form.
"It's not a war between Barcelona and Real Madrid. We are seeing that there are more teams like Sevilla, Villarreal and Atletico, and there's hardly any difference between them."
After collecting his reward for the best player at the World Cup in South Africa, Casillas extended his acknowledgement to his team-mates.
"They should know that this reward is a bit of everyones, not just a single person," he declared.
