Nuernberg sporting director Martin Bader has called on the fans to get behind the team in the same manner that inspired der Club to a memorable 2-1 win at home to VfB Stuttgart last weekend.
"The great home game against Stuttgart, with the dramatic turn of events and the fantastic winning goal by Pino, reminded us of games, the like of which we have not seen for a long time," he told the club's official website.
"Everyone who was there spoke about the game for several days afterwards. Such games are made by fans from whom the players draw the strength to embark upon a long and difficult season."
Nuernberg have amassed six points from as many games so far and are in 14th spot. Tomorrow's opponents Schalke, with whom the club enjoys a healthy friendship, are second bottom.
