Napoli defender Paolo Cannavaro is looking forward to tomorrow’s clash against Roma in a game which should determine whether the Azzurri are serious candidates for a Champions League place.
But the Giallorossi haven’t lost at the San Paolo in over 13 years and it's not going to be easy for the hosts to reverse that trend.
“We will give our best to break this negative record,” Cannavaro told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “We haven’t won against Roma in ages. This time we need to stay really focused and attack them like we did with Sampdoria. If we manage to do that it should be a spectacular game.”
Cannavaro is eager to stop his close friend Marco Borriello from scoring.
“I sent him a text already. I told him to prepare himself for defeat. Aside from the teasing bit, we are all aware of their strength,” added the Campani defender.
“After beating Inter and Cluj they are also more confident. Furthermore, they had more time to rest in midweek and this can be an advantage for them,” he concluded.
