Lazio Are Good Enough To Qualify For The Champions League - Manchester City Defender Aleksandar Kolarov

Former Lazio defender Aleksandar Kolarov has tipped them for a Champions League place.

The Aquile floundered last season as they played out a less than perfect season. But it's a different story this term though, and Kolarov believes the strong momentum can be maintained.

"Lazio can get into the Champions League as they have a good squad," he told Il Corriere dello Sport. "And they have [Edy] Reja who is an excellent coach. People say he is old school, but in fact he is very prepared.

"I have seen Lazio play on tv and I noticed Hernanes is a great player."

Critics believe Lazio's reformation will fizzle out but Kolarov has rallied his former side for the fight.

"They can continue to stay top seeing that they will play against Brescia and then Bari."

Kolarov, who joined Manchester City in the summer, also claims that he has unfinished business in Serie A but insists that he will never join Lazio's city-rivals Roma.

"Will I return? I hope so. Italy made me grow as a play and as a man. Roma? No, not this. And if I say it then I think it," he concluded.
