Palermo took all three points from their trip to Florence this weekend after a fantastic first half performance which put them up by two goals, allowing them to hold on for a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina.
Rosanero vice-president Guglielmo Micciche believed it was one of the best first half performances he had ever seen.
"It was a great game. Objectively, I think we had a great first half. I have never seen in recent years today's squad play such a high level, hitting the crossbar and two wonderful goals," Micciche told Mediagol.
"When we bought [Josip] Ilicic we knew he was a great player but now he is proving to be in a class of midfielder that never gives the ball away," the vice-president said of the club's summer signing from Maribor.
