Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain believes that the 6-1 demolition of Deportivo on Sunday evening showcases what the team is capable of, and he is hopeful that the team can maintain this standard going forward.
Deportivo were swept aside at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the Argentine providing a goal and two assists in a rampant win that edged los Blancos ahead of Barcelona in the Primera Division table.
Speaking to journalists in the wake of the match, the striker said he was relieved that the players have finally demonstrated what they are capable of when they play to the best of their ability.
He stated: “The truth is that I am very happy because it has been a very good game that people have been able to enjoy. Everything went well.
