Bayer Leverkusen Coach Jupp Heynckes Lauds Both Sides' Attacking Play

Bayer Leverkusen coach Jupp Heynckes felt his side missed a chance to win, as he rued his side's failure to score a second before half-time and ended up drawing 2-2 with Werder Bremen.

"It was a very good Bundesliga game, if one considers that both teams played in European competition during the week. We should have scored a second goal, then the game would have turned out differently in all probability," he told Sky after the final whistle.

Leverkusen striker Eren Derdiyok was however happy that die Werkself got something out of the game.

"We must be satisfied with a point. The team played well but we did not pay enough attention when we conceded the two goals."

Bayer sit in fourth place after seven games, with twelve points from seven matches.
