Arsenal are considering a £3 million move for FC Tromso midfielder Kara Mbodj in January. The 20-year-old is a product of the Diambars Academy – a Senegal-based football academy co-established in 2003 by Patrick Vieira and Bernard Lama.
According to the Daily Mail, Mbodj has earned fine reviews from Arsenal’s chief scout Steve Rowley.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been reportedly monitoring the midfielder's progress since his days at Diambars.
Mbodj is a flexible midfielder who can also play in defence. He has been one of the stars of the Tippeligaen during his debut season in Norway and Arsenal scouts plan to continue watching him up until December.
