Arsenal starlet Jack Wilshere has been tipped for an England call-up for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro, and his club manager Arsene Wenger believes he is ready.
The 18-year-old has been turning heads with a string of impressive displays for the Gunners and is reportedly on Fabio Capello's list of names for the upcoming qualifier.
Wilshere made his debut for the Three in August's friendly win over Hungary, but was not picked for the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland, and has been named in the Under-21s European Championship play-off squad.
Wenger, who has seen the playmaker quickly develop into one of his side's best players, thinks he would make the step up easily.
"It is not down to me but I select him for my first team and that means he is good enough because all my players are internationals," Wenger said, according to Sky Sports.
"But I am convinced he will be called up for the senior national team, if it's not this time it will be next.
"It is only a question of time. He's playing very well."
