The North Queensland Fury have lifted themselves off the bottom of the A-League ladder with a 2-1 win over Adelaide United at Dairy Farmers Stadium in Townsville this evening.
A wonderful first half striker by Daniel McBreen was followed by a long-range Robbie Fowler effort in the second, before Adelaide striker Cristiano grabbed a consolation goal for his side in injury time.
It was a deserved victory for the Fury, who produced one of their best home displays of the season to condemn the Reds and embattled boss Aurelio Vidmar - who watched from the stands following his touchline ban - to another defeat.
