Having taken a 2-0 lead in the first half, Malaga conceded two second half goals, but still managed to earn a point. Speaking to Marca after the match, Juan Ramon Muniz said, "I must congratulate the team on a great performance against a great team."
"It was a great game. We must remember that we had the game in our hands, but we played against an opponent that threw everything at us.
"They are one of the best teams in the league, so we must be satisfied."
