Lazio Eye Napoli Midfielder Luca Cigarini - Report

Lazio have laid eyes on Napoli midfielder Luca Cigarini, who they see as an alternative to Cristian Ledesma.

The Argentine has reportedly started the procedure to rescind his contract with Roman side. According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, Davide Ballardini is keen to sign the Italian youngster from Napoli.

Cigarini joined the club from Atalanta in the summer. He has made ten appearances in Serie A, scoring a goal in the process. The report claims Cigarini has not been used as much as he would have liked, and is considered only as back-up by Walter Mazzarri.

Ballardini, on the other hand, knows the player well having coached him at Parma's youth team and Sambenedettese. It is said a swap deal with Lazio could be on the horizon.

Ledesma's agent, Vincenzo D'Ippolito, was seen in Naples, where he reportedly had a meeting with the Partenopei's sporting director.
