Racing Santander announced last week that they had appointed Miguel Angel Portugal as Juan Carlos Mandia's successor, and he presided over their narrow defeat to Real Madrid last weekend.
However, Deportivo La Coruna striker Lassad Nouioui has admitted that these events have completely passed him by.
"Have they changed coach? I didn't know that - I only think about my team, I'm not bothered about what happens anywhere else," Lassad told AS.
Los Blanquiazules face Portugal's Racing side at el Sardinero tomorrow, and Lassad is hopeful of another start.
Miguel Angel Lotina is currently keeping his cards close to his chest, although it is thought that Riki will partner either Lassad or Mista in attack.
"We don't know who will play. The coach hasn't said anything about tomorrow's match.
"I'm doing well, I feel good and I hope that we play a good match tomorrow. This week I have trained well and I hope to continue like this."
Lassad is brimming with confidence after Deportivo's recent results, and added that he doesn't mind who is coming up in the fixture list, as he just wants to get back out onto the pitch.
"We have played well in the last two games against both Getafe and Atletico Madrid, and we have picked up three points in both, so I don't care who Depor play."
