Serie A heavyweights Juventus have come under scrutiny after a string of sub-par performances that culminated in this week’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Bordeaux.
The Old Lady’s passage to the knock-out stage is now in jeopardy and Ciro Ferrara’s men also trail leaders Inter by five points in the Italian league, but ex-Juve star Angelo Di Livio sees the glass half full.
“It happens to have difficult moments throughout a season,” he told Calciomercatonews.
“Juve played a bad game against Bordeaux, but I don’t think they will have any problems to qualify.
“Bayern Munich travel to Turin in a fortnight and they are not going through a great period of form. The Bianconeri have two results at their disposal and I am confident.”
Juve pay visit to Cagliari this afternoon and need a victory to make sure they stay within touching distance of Inter ahead of next Saturday’s home clash with the Nerazzurri.
“It’s not easy to make predictions, but Juve are a great team and will fight it out with Inter and Milan for the title,” said Di Livio. “But the Nerazzurri are still the favourites…”
