Tottenham Striker Peter Crouch In Awe Of Rafael Van Der Vaart Talents

Tottenham player Peter Crouch was full of praise for his new teammate Rafael Van der Vaart after grabbing three goals in a week for his new club.

Van der Vaart moved to Spurs during the transfer window for £8 million and he is already repaying the faith shown by manager Harry Redknapp.

The Dutchman has certainly hit the ground running and chipped in with a goal in their 4-1 defeat of FC Twente in the Champions League midweek game.

He continued his brilliant start by scoring a brace against Aston Villa on Saturday, ensuring that the White Hart Lane side would get all three points after going a goal behind.

Crouch says relishes the opportunity of playing with such a world-class talent and feels that there are already demonstrating an understanding.

"It's fantastic playing with him," the England striker told Sky Sports.

"He's a top-class player and playing with someone like that seems to make my job easier.

"In training we've struck up quite a good partnership.

"Obviously he's reading the flick-ons and balls and he got a couple of goals against Villa.

"The fans love him here already."
