Luciano Moggi Attacks Inter Following Their 'Juventus Owe Us Titles' Jibe

Juventus will battle with Inter on Sunday, but the war has already broken out as Luciano Moggi fires back at Ernerto Paolillo's "they owe us more titles" rant.

Director Paolillo and president Massimo Moratti effectively summoned Inter fans to arm themselves for battle at the weekend by claiming Juventus owed them more titles - a comment which came in the same week the Calciopoli2 trial in Naples reopened.

In response to Inter, Moggi, who has no central authority to issue directions to the Juventus fans, has tried to defend the club, using the past to face the future.

And the former director used the pen of his Tuttomercatoweb.com column as the weapon of choice to fire back.

"It's the week of Inter - Juventus, a game some have described as the poison clash," he wrote.

"I was annoyed by the comments of Paolillo and the Inter president Massimo Moratti.

"I didn't want to get involved, but I have to. Juventus have to restore Inter Scudetti? Which ones? Maybe those that were conquered on the pitch by Juve, while at Inter they were talking about [Alvaro] Recoba's false passport.

"Or maybe they should look at the standings. They would have to bring out that calculator and add their points to another team's to match Juventus' points tally.

"The real cardboard Scudetto is just one. The one that was handed to them. And I will stop here seeing that there is the game on Sunday.

"But to describe them as the honest people is wrong. Then people moan about excessive tones and trouble at stadiums when the first to spark trouble are people like Paolillo."
