Celtic Midfielder Scott Brown Set For Two-Month Lay-Off

Celtic manager Tony Mowbray has today revealed that midfielder Scott Brown is set to undergo surgery on his ankle injury that will keep him sidelined for at least another two months.

Brown underwent an operation on the same joint in the summer and has been playing through the pain barrier this season.

He sustained another knock on the ankle playing against Hamburg last month in the Europa League and has been out of action since then.

This second operation has been described as "minor" by the Hoops boss, but he is still not expected to return until at least February, according to Sky Sports News.
