Carlo Ancelotti: Chelsea Won't Spend Big In January

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he is not planning any big spending in the January transfer window, despite the FIFA transfer ban on the club being suspended.

The Premier League leaders are set to lose key men such as Michael Essien and Didier Drogba to the African Cup of Nations in January, leading many to speculate that new arrivals might well be on the way.

Ancelotti, though, feels that Sunday's comfortable 3-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates has shown that his side does not need any major new additions.

"All the players are in good condition. If we maintain this, we'll sign nobody," the Italian told The Sun.

Chelsea's comfortable victory over the Gunners meant that they retained their five point lead over reigning champions Manchester United.
