The winger joined Bucs from SuperSport United at the beginning of the season on a three-year contract amid criticism that there was no need to leave a team that had won three League titles on the trot for a team that had last won a major title seven years ago - the 2002/03 League title.
Klate said he was unfazed by the criticism adding that he's done his talking on the field.
"I think everybody wants to go to places where it is nice. I look at the perfect example, Cristiano Ronaldo. I mean people were asking why he was leaving Man United when he had won the FIFA Player of the Year while playing for them in the English Premiership but left to go to Real Madrid, a team that had been struggling," the talented youngster told Kickoff.com.
"I needed a different challenge and I took it and what better way to silence the critics than winning the MTN8 Final," he said.
"I came here to play for a team that hadn't won anything in seven years and now I'm an MTN8 Champion, that's what challenges are about," Klate reasoned.
