Euro 2012: Cesare Prandelli Re-Calls In-Form Stefano Mauri Ahead Of Italy Qualifiers

As Stefano Mauri’s Lazio continues to command the Serie A standings, the exploits of the in-form midfielder haven’t gone unnoticed by Italy coach Cesare Prandelli.

The Azzurri tactician recently announced his 23-man squad, set to face Northern Ireland and Serbia during the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers, and fellow recalls were also handed to Roma’s Marco Borriello, Genoa’s Domenico Criscito and Milan’s Gianluca Zambrotta according to SkySport24.

La Nazionale currently sit on top of Group C after having notched up two wins in their opening fixtures back in early September. The group is set to come together at the Coverciano training base on Monday where they will begin preparations ahead of the away trip to Belfast.
