Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins has praised the team following in impressive 2-0 win over Arsenal in which Didier Drogba and Alex both foudn the net.
Speaking to the press at Stamford Bridge, including Goal.com's Greg Stobart, Wikins admitted to being delighted with the comfortable win over this "very good" Arsenal side.
"Arsenal are a very, very good side and for us to beat them is always a delight," he said.
"It's not always pleasant to look at but it was effective. Sometimes in this game you can't always do what you want to – you have to fight and scrap.
"I had a slight internal panic after half-an-hour, I was a little bit worried."
Wilkins, however, remained cautious when questioned on Chelsea's title aspirations, referencing the fact that the season is still relatively young but admitting that Chelsea's impressive record against the Premier League's top teams last year may not be repeated.
"We're seven league games in and we've got a lot of football to play. We always want to be at the top – we're there at the moment and we want to stay there.
"We have to make sure we can keep our own house in order – and if we do that we will take a lot of beating. Arsenal play super football – they are one of the teams that scare me in the Premier League. They take the ball of us and you can't get it back.
"Last year we beat Manchester United twice, Arsenal twice and Liverpool twice. We know that might not happen next year," Wilkins commented.
The Chelsea assistant ended on a negative note as he conceded that the goalscorer, Alex, has a thigh problem following his tremendously hit free-kick.
"Alex has got a slight problem in his thigh. I don't know whether it's from that rocket he hit. He did it against Liverpool in the Champions League. He works hard at it in training," he concluded.
