Palermo's Fabio Liverani Cautious About Champions League Objectives

Palermo midfielder Fabio Liverani thinks that his team's objectives can be understood better by the end of the first half of the season.

Coach Delio Rossi just enjoyed a successful debut on the Rosanero bench this week in the Coppa Italia, but Liverani does not think that the problems have been solved yet.

"At the end of the first half we will be able to understand if, in the league, we will be able to aim for certain positions," declared the former Lazio player to sportmediaset.it.

"Winning the Coppa Italia is not easy - if you succeed, you're a great team. Winning it gives a huge joy.

"It's clear that the Champions League is a great objective, but I think that so far, speaking about the first four places is a bit premature.

"The match against Chievo is a difficult one, against a very good team made of very good players. We must continue on this path, but we cannot solve problems in four days."

Palermo are currently in 12th place with 17 points from 13 games played. They stand five points above the relegation zone.
