Gert Schalkwyk Promises To Return To Top Form With Orlando Pirates

Schalkwyk’s promise to Bucs supporters follows a report on KickOff.com in which coach Ruud Krol said he had little faith in him since he arrived from Bloemfontein Celtic this season.

The Free State-born midfielder said to the South African football website that he isn't reading too much into the report where Krol explains his reasons for not fielding him.

“I will bounce back,” says Schalkwyk.

“Obviously I am not happy about being sidelined, but I am not ready to throw in the towel.

“I am working hard at training and will continue to be patient and wait for my opportunity. I am confident that I will soon get my chance to play.”
