Espanyol travel to the Vicente Calderon to face Atletico Madrid on Sunday night, and some have argued that the Barcelona-based outfit are favourites for the tie.
Despite los Colchoneros' woeful start to the season, Mauricio Pochettino is approaching the match with caution and is wary of the quality that Quique Sanchez Flores' side have in their ranks.
"I think that our fans know that there will be a great team in front of us," he affirmed to Marca.
"We have just lost two games and I don't think that people think we are favourites. We will go with a great desire to play a good match although we know that we will come up against a wounded opponent who will also want to have a good game.
"We will have to neutralise their talents, because they have some great footballers. We will have to play some good football, be focused and attentive because they have players like [Diego] Forlan and [Sergio] Aguero who can harm you."
Despite the illustrious names that litter los Rojiblancos' squad, Pochettino warned them that the team's performance is more important than the talents of their individuals.
"Names don't win games. The work of the collective is important. Atletico have a squad with great potential, but it's not easy," he concluded.
